The elderly population is continuing to increase and with it the ratio of dementia. The needs of the individual suffering with dementia are not going to be met by community care, because the condition of the client means a 24hour service is required to maintain life support systems.

It is our intention with the support of the media to heighten public awareness of the demanding nature of dementia and fulfill a part of the services required by the sufferers and their families

Lister Specialist Care home is owned and run by Mrs. Patricia Taylor and Mrs. Jill Copsey, mother and daughter are both qualified psychiatric nurses who have 60 years experience between them. Over the years we have developed strong opinions and beliefs on care provided for people who suffer from Dementia.
